About Us
It's hard enough to experience mental health problems, without having to face the judgment, shame, and isolation that often surrounds them. That's why we want to end mental health discrimination.
How Are You? is a global social movement that started in Istanbul and aims to reach all people in four corners of the world to change the way we all think and act about mental health problems and spread a culture of understanding and sympathy.
What do we do?
We provide an emergency safe space and other services for anyone who has experienced mental health or emotional issues in any way.
We want attitudes and behaviors towards people with mental health problems to improve so that they don’t have to live in shame, isolation, and silence.
We aim to build a global platform, a safe space, and a solid community where we all feel comfortable to share our problems and stories and share them with the world with no shame or judgment.
We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem
gets the support they need and the respect they deserve.

Our Mission
We’re Here For You
Mental health is core to overall wellbeing and quality of life. Mental health and wellbeing are also increasingly recognized as essential contributors to successfully achieving wider social and economic global development goals.
The objective of this Initiative is to create and sustain a global and multilanguage platform to address global mental health as a substantive priority.
This platform will integrate clinical, research, service, leadership, and educational efforts focused on global mental health.
This new program will unite existing faculty efforts and provide opportunities for new partnerships and initiatives.
This initiative aims to train online and onsite a large number of volunteers on Mental Health First Aid, equip & empower them and then create a global online platform to link them with people suffering from mental health issues for providing first help and assistance.
We aim also to write a multilingual Mental Health First Aid Manual to be available free for all people and organizations, and institutions.
A core component of the Initiative will be to utilize information technology tools to scale up mental health activities on a global level.
